Meet Judge Eldridge
Judge Eldridge has served as Judge of the 331st District Court in Travis County since 2019. With over 25 years of experience as a criminal defense attorney before taking the bench, she has built a courtroom that is efficient, respectful, and focused on justice.
From day one, Judge Eldridge has prioritized fairness, transparency, and real solutions to reduce recidivism and make our community safer. She believes in restorative justice, not mass incarceration, and she has put those beliefs into action every single day on the bench.
A PROVEN TRACK RECORD
Turned around the 331st District Court:
Brought the court from the lowest-performing to the highest-performing in her first year on the bench
Expanded access to personal bonds:
Helped draft a General Order creating automatic personal bonds for nonviolent offenders, so defendants can keep their obs, housing, and families intact while awaiting trial
Focused on rehabilitation, not incarceration:
Offers diversion and probation alternatives in appropriate cases. Locking people up for poverty, mental illness, or addiction doesn’t make our community safer.
